We’ll fight as long as we live
Feb. 11th, 2013 08:05 pmGood "whatever", my dear friends!
Here is 8:00 p.m. and I just finished studying. Oh, God! This class I'm preparing is so annoying and difficoult! I just hate it!
In these days I'm always upset and depressed. And I don't know why. Maybe it's because I'm a kind of asocial person, maybe it's because I'm not happy of what I'm doing with my life, maybe it's because I need the love of a puppy. I only know that I have this empty feeling and it's like I'm vegetating and not living. But it's okay, I'm used to these sensations.
The only comfort I can have is from movies and books.
In January I watched a lot of interesting movies - and some horrible ones. I recommend you to see these:
- Cloud Atlas: it's a very strange and complicated movie, but it's extraordinary and very touching.
- Frankenweenie 3D (yes, here in Italy was released only in January): OMG! This movie is a masterpiece! After the disappointment of Dark Shadows, Tim Burton released this soft and emotional film!
- The Good Doctor: Finally, I saw this film! I was so excited to watch it and the movie was very interesting. The film itself is not a masterpiece, but Orlando's performance is flawless! OMG, he's so good in this character and asdfghhkl! You have to see it, absolutely!
- Les Misérables: another movie lately released in Italy. Oh, God! I cried for the entire film! It was so deeply emotional! No words for this movie, the only one that deserves an Oscar!
In this period I'm also reading Anna Karenina and I like it very much. It's a strange story with complicated characters that try to fight with love. I hope I'll finish it by the 21st of Februrary, when the Joe Wright's film will be released in Italy! I'm thinking of writing an essay on some charachters of this story. Maybe if I'll be satisfied of the final result, I'll post it here. But I don't promise that it'll be in English!
I hope everything is fine with you and that you are spending an amazing time!
See you soon!

Well, I hope things start easing up for you and good luck with your studies. (((HUG)))

Date: 2013-02-11 11:45 pm (UTC)Dark Shadows isn't one of my favourite Burton's movies. I love this director and in the past he did better. It's a strange movie, it isn't clear: is it a fun or a serious film? And even Johnny's performance isn't his best. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. It's a normal movie with no great expectations.
Instead Frankenweenie is a masterpiece, it's like the best old movies of Burton: full of love and tenderness but with a touch of creepy genius!

Date: 2013-02-12 02:06 pm (UTC)I know exactly what you mean. I have this feeling sometimes, too. Not as much as I used to, but sometimes it's still there. It's comforting to know that someone else has it too, because it can seem like you're the only person in the world that feels this way. I'm glad you get some comfort out of movies and books. I think it's because they take your mind away from the real world for a little while and give you something else to concentrate on. I find that it helps to do something that will give you a sense of achievement at the end of it. Maybe try baking some cookies, or writing a short story, or even just giving the house a spring clean. Something that you can feel proud of when you're done. :)
Or maybe you should just get a puppy. XD

Hope you feel better soon, hun, so that you can enjoy yourself even when you're not reading books or watching movies. I've got asocial tendencies, too, so I can definitely relate. :)
