So, in the title I wrote a "review", but it's more a fangirl moment than a serious review. Anyway, before I start to talk about the movie, I have to write about my unexcpected journey!

Well, here in Italy the first part of "The Hobbit" was realeased on Thursday 13th and I was so happy because I was going to see it in a special preview and before the other fellow ringers. So, I went to the cinema that day and I decided to see it at 3 p.m. for an absolute preview. But, as always, I was unlucky, because all the cinemas that wanted to play this preview had problems. The international codes that the production realeses didn't arrived on time and so for that day the movie was cancelled. You should imagine my face and all my Tolkien feelings! I was so enraged and nervous that all the day I felt annoyed and upset. Anyway, yesterday I finally went to see it and, surprise! I enjoyed the movie all that much!
I don't know if I have told you that I didn't feel very happy about the Jackson's decision on making three movies of "The Hobbit" and so I went to the cinema with no great expectations. Now I feel very stupid, because Peter Jackson is a fucking genius and the movie was flawless! So, come on to the "real" review.

First of all I have to say that this movie is very close to the book: the 80% of the film is taken from "The Hobbit", the 15% from other Tolkien's books and the 5% is taken from the mind of J.R.R. Tolkien, lol. I think Peter Jackson is virtually connected to the writer or maybe they're the same person. There are little particulars that are described in the book and they are faithfully representd in the movie! This is so amazing!
The actors are all perfect for their roles: I mean, the old ones are, as always, flawless, but the new entries are more than excellent. Martin Freeman IS Bilbo. I mean, Hobbits are not my favourite race but I loved how Freeman played this charachter, he managed to paint more than a smile upon the face of the entire audience. Another character I loved was the one of Thorin! I mean, Richard Armitage is a great acotr, and I love how he manged to give to Thorin more relevance than the book: he's proud and in the meantime grateful towards Bilbo. I just liked it so much! And all the other dwarves were magnifically portraited, especially Fili and Kili.
The effects were spectacular and the new 3D technology was superb.
I don't want to spoil too much about this movie, because I think a lot of my followers didn't read the book and so they don't know the story. But I have to say that this film is easier to follow than Lord of the Rings: things are more ordinated and are explained well.
The only sad thing is that they didn't arrived to Mirkwood and so Legolas didn't appear. I have to wait an year or more to see Orlando in a fantastic 3D!

Now I stop writing nonsenses and I leave you with a promise: I won't doubt Peter Jackson's qualities anymore.

My vote: 10/10

I'm glad you got to watch it, even if it was a day later than it should have been. And also that PJ has convinced you three movies is an excellent idea after all. :D

Thanks for the review. I've seen some reviews that are not completely positive, but if you enjoyed it then I'm sure I will too! I'm seeing the movie on Tuesday, and I'm so excited! XD

E poi Peter Jackson è Peter Jackson! ♥
Spero di riuscire a vederlo presto! :D
